How to set your Wordlock Bike Lock:
1. 1. Spin the dials until you decide on a 4 letter word. You may want to write the word down and put it in a place youÕll remember..
2. 2. Open the lock by turning the dials so P-L-A-Y is aligned between the notches and pull out the lock post. If youÕve already changed your combination from P-L-A-Y then turn the dials so your current combination is between the notches.
3. 3. As you hold the lock with one hand, push down and rotate the two reset buttons counterclockwise with the thumb and forefinger of the other hand. Turn the buttons until they come to a stop.
NOTE: Avoid turning any of the tumblers while holding the reset buttons as you may inadvertently set a random combination instead of your specified choice.
4. 4. Rotate the dials so your new 4 letter word combination is aligned with the notches.
5. 5. Turn the two reset buttons clockwise with your thumb and forefinger until they come to a stop at their original positions. Your combination is now set.
6. 6. To verify your combination before using your lock, insert the lock post all the way into the locking port but do not turn the dials. If the lock post inserts easily, your Wordlock Bike Lock is ready to use.
To change your combination, simply repeat steps 1-6.
To mount the bracket onto the bike:
1. Remove the screw at the base of the seat.
2. Place the screw through the bracket hole and refasten it to the base of the seat so the bracket extends toward the rear of the bike.
3. To attach the lock to the holder, first recoil the cable and unlock the lock. Once the lock is open be sure to keep it at its current combination,
4. Insert one end of the lock into the holder so the coil points to the rear of the bike. Insert the other end of the lock from below. By spinning the third dial (not the first) the lock will be held in place in the bracket.
